Virtual Organizing.
Professional organizing support, wherever you are.
You don't have to have a professional organizer standing in your living room to make meaningful progress.
Virtual organizing gives you personalized guidance, practical strategies, and accountability—all from the comfort of your own home.
Whether you're staring at one overwhelming closet, working through an entire home, or looking for ongoing support to stay organized, we'll meet you where you are and help you figure out what to do next.
You do the hands-on work. I'll help you know what to do, how to do it, and how to keep it that way.
What is Virtual Organizing?
Virtual organizing is a flexible alternative to in-home organizing that allows you to work one-on-one with a professional organizer through video calls.
Instead of doing the physical organizing for you, I'll provide the structure, guidance, and accountability you need to make progress yourself.
Depending on the level of support you choose, virtual organizing may include:
Assessing your space through photos and videos
Identifying what's making a space difficult to use
Creating a personalized organizing plan
Providing decluttering and decision-making support
Helping you determine what to keep and what to let go
Developing organizing systems that work with your habits
Recommending storage solutions
Troubleshooting problem areas
Providing accountability and encouragement
Helping you maintain your progress over time
Virtual organizing is especially helpful if you enjoy doing things yourself but aren't sure where to start—or if you simply need someone to help you stay on track.
Choose the Level of Support That Fits You
Not every organizing project needs the same amount of help.
That's why Making Room offers three levels of virtual organizing support.
Level 1: Discover
$125 | 60 minutes
Need help getting unstuck? Start here.
Discover is designed for a specific problem area or organizing challenge. We'll take a focused look at your space, identify what's getting in the way, and create a clear plan for moving forward.
Before our session, you'll complete a short questionnaire and provide photos or videos of the space you'd like to work on. During our virtual session, we'll talk through the problem, identify practical solutions, and make a plan you can put into action.
Includes:
Pre-session questionnaire
Space assessment using photos and/or videos
60-minute virtual organizing session
Personalized action plan
Organizing recommendations
Perfect for: A cluttered closet, overwhelming room, paper pile, storage area, or any other single problem area where you don't know where to begin.
The goal: Leave the session knowing exactly what to do next.
Level 2: Transform
$499 | 4-week program
Ready to make real progress?
Transform gives you four weeks of structured virtual organizing support. Together, we'll create a plan, work through your clutter, troubleshoot challenges, and build systems that make your space easier to maintain.
You'll have regular check-ins throughout the program so you aren't left trying to figure everything out on your own.
Includes:
Initial 90-minute virtual planning session
Weekly virtual check-ins
Decluttering guidance and decision support
Personalized organizing strategies
Storage recommendations
Final maintenance plan
We'll focus on making meaningful progress while keeping the process realistic for your schedule and your life.
Perfect for: Larger organizing projects, multiple problem areas, or anyone who wants ongoing guidance and accountability.
The goal: Transform a space—and feel confident maintaining the progress you've made.
Level 3: Maintain
$99/month
Because getting organized is only half the job.
Once you've created systems that work, ongoing support can make it easier to keep them working.
Maintain provides monthly virtual organizing support to help you stay on top of clutter, adjust systems as your life changes, and tackle small problems before they become overwhelming again.
Includes:
Monthly 60-minute virtual organizing session
Seasonal home reset guidance
Personalized accountability and support
Priority access to resources and services
Your home doesn't stay exactly the same throughout the year. Your organizing systems shouldn't have to, either.
Perfect for: Anyone who wants regular accountability, seasonal support, or help maintaining an organized home long-term.
The goal: Keep your home working for you, instead of constantly feeling like you're catching up.
How Virtual Organizing Works
1. Tell Me What's Going On
We'll start by understanding what isn't working in your space and what you'd like to change.
Depending on the service you choose, I'll ask you to complete a questionnaire and/or send photos or videos of the space we're working on.
You don't need to clean up before you send them.
Seeing the space as it actually is helps me give you better advice.
2. Create a Plan
We'll identify the biggest challenges and determine what needs to happen first.
I'll help you break a potentially overwhelming project into manageable steps so you know exactly where to begin.
3. Work Together
During our virtual sessions, we'll work through your organizing challenges together.
I'll provide guidance, ask questions, help you make decisions, troubleshoot problems, and keep you moving forward.
You stay in control of your home and your belongings. I'm there to make the process easier.
4. Put the Plan Into Action
Between sessions, you'll have practical next steps to work through on your own.
Depending on your program, I'll check in with you regularly to answer questions, adjust the plan, and help you stay accountable.
5. Create Systems You Can Maintain
The goal isn't simply to make a space look organized for a day.
We'll focus on creating systems that make sense for you—your routines, your habits, your belongings, and the way you actually use your home.
Is Virtual Organizing Right for You?
Virtual organizing may be a great fit if you:
Prefer to do the physical organizing yourself
Want professional guidance without an in-home organizer
Live outside of Making Room's in-person service area
Have a specific organizing challenge you need help solving
Feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start
Want accountability to actually finish an organizing project
Need help developing systems that work with your lifestyle
Want ongoing support to maintain an organized home
Virtual organizing may not be the best fit if you need someone to physically sort, move, pack, or organize your belongings for you. In that case, in-home organizing may be a better option.
You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
Sometimes the hardest part of organizing isn't the physical work.
It's knowing where to start.
It's deciding what to keep.
It's figuring out why the system you tried six months ago isn't working anymore.
It's getting past the point where you've been staring at the same pile for three weeks.
Virtual organizing gives you someone in your corner to help you work through those decisions and turn an overwhelming project into a series of manageable steps.
You don't need a perfect home before you ask for help.
You just need a place to start.
